Ten-Cai Vilu by UnoNueve

New mural by Chilean artist in Mexico City.

Tenten-Vilu and Caicai-Vilu are mythological creatures from the Mapuche mythology. Both are powerful beings shaped like mythical serpents, Caicai-Vilu is the “sea serpent” which is able to harness the power of the sea and everything related to it and Trentren-Vilu is the “terrestrial snake” that has the power to dominate the earth, and its volcanoes. The idea of the mural is to represent the union of these beings who were once rivals, calling to live in harmony with the earth and the universe. Even the most powerful rivals can be joined by a universal good.
